Since the brightness of the LED headlamp will dim with the gradual increase in temperature during lighting, the application life will also be shortened. Therefore, the thermal management problem is also a major problem that needs to be solved when the LED headlamp is illuminated in the high beam and the near light.
Considering these, it is not difficult to find that the heat dissipation of LED headlights is still a very difficult problem. With the continuous development of LED headlamps, high efficiency, perfect function and good performance driver equipment can now be used to deal with the heat dissipation problems and the disadvantages it brings.
Compared with ordinary halogen lamps, LED is very different in light source. LED lamps are cold light sources. Due to the characteristics of LED lamps, the change of lamp materials is specially triggered, resulting in the development of lamp materials in a new direction. A variety of heat-resistant materials are widely used in headlamps, among which PAR,PBT, and HTPC are representative. They all have good characteristics and will increase production costs. Therefore, ABS and PC materials can be used instead. Resin materials can be widely used to replace metal materials. This helps to control the lowest production cost, so as to avoid the use of metal materials, the use of some non-environmentally friendly means and technology, increase the anti-corrosion workload. Some designers also try to think of LED light sources as a common kind of electronic component, as if to look at the chip in a notebook computer.
